The Healthcare Commission report independently on the state of healthcare services in England and Wales.
The report shows that patients are seeing real improvements but highlights four areas where further action is needed:
- the delivery of healthcare services that are even more focused on the needs of patients
- care for people who are least able to look after themselves
- the prevention of illness, and the reduction of
inequalities in health
- safety
